PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a key member of the wider IT Training team, reporting to the Senior IT Training Manager, you will play a vital role in advancing Addleshaw Goddard's strategic objectives by designing, developing and delivering specialist AI and IT training solutions.
The AI & Digital Training Specialist will develop the Firm's AI and digital capability by helping colleagues use approved technology effectively, responsibly, securely and with confidence. The role is focused on learning, business upskilling and adoption support, rather than the technical evaluation or procurement of new tools.
Working with legal practice groups and Business Services teams, the post holder will identify learning needs, translate business challenges into practical training interventions and provide ongoing support that helps colleagues embed AI and digital skills into their day-to-day work. This position requires flexibility, as you may occasionally need to work from any of our UK and European offices to meet service demands.
THE TEAM
The Addleshaw Goddard IT Training Team is a key resource supporting 3,200+ employees globally. As the Firm continues to grow and invest in AI and digital capability, we are looking for an AI & Digital Training Specialist to join our dynamic, customer-focused team.
In this role, you will lead practical learning on AI literacy, responsible use, effective prompting, AI agent skills and productivity improvement. You will also support wider IT training priorities, including Microsoft 365, in-house applications and project-specific solutions, helping colleagues become proficient and confident in the technologies they use daily.
You will need to be a self-starter who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively, able to build trusted relationships across the Firm and enthusiastic about helping people develop practical, sustainable digital skills.

- Explain complex AI concepts in plain language and relate learning to realistic workplace activities.
- Create clear guidance, quick reference materials, videos, eLearning and self-service resources that reinforce safe and effective practice.
EFFECTIVE PROMPTING & AI ASSISTED WORKING
- Deliver specialist training and coaching in effective prompting, including how to provide context, define outcomes, improve responses and check output quality.
- Develop role-based examples, exercises and reusable learning materials for different departments.
- Help colleagues apply AI to tasks such as drafting, summarising, analysing, preparing, organising and improving written work, within approved policies and controls.
AI AGENT LEARNING & SUPPORT
- Design and deliver learning on the appropriate creation, configuration and use of AI agents within the Firm's approved environment.
- Provide hands-on workshops, demonstrations, and coaching for colleagues developing agent skills.
- Help users define an agent's purpose, instructions, knowledge sources, testing approach, boundaries and human review requirements.
- Signpost technical, governance or risk matters to the appropriate specialist teams where they fall outside the training remit.
BUSINESS UPSKILLING & DEPARTMENTAL SUPPORT
- Partner with departments to understand their work, capability gaps, learning priorities and barriers to adoption.
- Identify practical learning opportunities and business scenarios where improved AI or IT skills could support productivity and service delivery.
- Develop tailored learning plans, workshops and resources that reflect departmental roles, workflows and levels of digital confidence.
- Provide coaching, floor-walking, drop-in sessions and post-training support to help colleagues apply learning in practice.
- Build networks of champions and encourage peer learning, knowledge sharing and consistent good practice across the Firm.
LEARNING DESIGN, DELIVERY & EVALUATION

WIDER IT TRAINING & CHANGE SUPPORT
- Deliver training and support for Microsoft 365, in-house applications and other business-critical systems when required.
- Contribute to project and change activity through training needs analysis, learning design, communications and user adoption support.
- Work flexibly across the IT Training team to strengthen service resilience, share knowledge and maintain delivery capacity.
- Support learners through coaching and constructive feedback, adapting delivery for different roles, abilities and learning preferences.
