PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a Onboarding Coordinator Team Lead to join our dynamic Operations Team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to support the Onboarding Operations Manager across projects involving the Onboarding department and the wider Business Services function. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of the Apprentices to ensure that they are supported through their studies and help us maintain our high quality level of service to the business.
THE TEAM
The Onboarding team at Addleshaw Goddard helps set new clients up to work with the firm. Their role is to collect key information and make sure everything is correct before any legal work begins. This includes verifying the client, the work they do and making sure everything is legally compliant, especially regarding conflicts of interest and rules to prevent money laundering. The team also makes sure all the information is organised so that lawyers can start helping the client quickly.
The functions of Onboarding are:
● Conflicts: The Conflicts team checks to make sure that the firm can work for a new client without issues or clashes with other clients. For example, is the firm helping someone else who might be on the opposite side of a legal case?
● Financial Crime & Sanctions: This team protects the firm from illegal activities like money laundering (attempts to hide money made from crime) and makes sure the firm follows rules about working with certain people or countries.
● Operations: This team is responsible for the maintenance of the Intapp Intake system and the administrative tasks required to ensure that the workflows of the Onboarding Team are efficient.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
As an Onboarding Coordinator Team Lead, you will support three apprentices with their day-to-day duties as well as taking on more technical tasks. Your duties will include;
• Line manager support for Apprentice Co-Ordinators – assisting with HR responsibilities e.g. Annual Leave, Sick Leave and support with their BPP Level 3 Business Administration qualifications.
• Support Study Leave/Annual Leave Co-ordinators Tasks – this may involve stepping in to tasks as part of maintaining Onboarding Operations duties and responsibilities.
• Sanction Searches – performing the required searches for Sanctions updates from Regulators in jurisdictions where the firm operates.
• Resolve Errors with Intapp Requests – sometimes Requests have been completed incorrectly resulting in an error, resolving these will be done with support from the Onboarding Operations Manager and IT Finance Systems Team.
• Support the continuous improvement process for the Intapp system – collate, investigate and deploy regular change and improvements from the Onboarding Team and the wider business.
• Price Sensitive Information Barrier Report/Insider List maintenance – protecting our clients confidential information is paramount and this role ensures that information protections are implemented promptly and maintained.
You will be supported through your development and encouraged to pursue projects and development opportunities which are of personal interest.
